Bookkeeping Cleanup Services

Cleanup Services

There’s no shame in getting back on track. Most business owners are capable of handling their books, but there are only so many hours in the day. You don’t have to do it alone—or at all. I’m trained and certified to step in, review your books as they are, and untangle the mess for you.

Whether it’s months or years of inconsistent bookkeeping, I’ll correct the records, provide accurate reports, and get you prepared for taxes, audits, or simply a fresh start. With professional cleanup, you won’t just catch up—you’ll get ahead.

Diagnostic Review

I get some basic information about your business and take a look at your current books to get an idea of the scope of the cleanup.  At this point I will just need view-only access to QBO or current financial reports.

Cleanup Assessment

I go over the findings of the diagnostic review and the areas that need the most attention.  I then give you my estimate for the cleanup as far as how long it will take and the overall cost. I also give you the monthly bookkeeping cost after the cleanup is done if you never want to worry about your books again.

Onboarding

Once the proposal is signed and payment is received, we’ll get started by setting up (or gaining access to) your books in QuickBooks Online. From there, I’ll provide you with a simple list of permissions needed to give me view-only access to the accounts required for cleanup. This ensures I can get the job done efficiently while keeping your accounts secure.

FAQ

Is hiring out a bookkeeper affordable?

It’s often more affordable than the cost of mistakes or missed opportunities. What I charge depends on the size and complexity of your business—things like the number of monthly transactions, whether you need invoicing support, how many bank and credit accounts you manage, and whether any loans need to be tracked. Once I have the full picture of your needs, I’ll provide a customized proposal that fits your business.

Unless you’ve had bookkeeping training, chances are you’re spending way too much valuable time trying to keep up with the numbers. Wouldn’t you rather finish your day and enjoy the time you’ve worked so hard to earn? Successful business owners know that delegating is key—and bookkeeping is one of those tasks that’s best handed off. (Unless, of course, you actually enjoy it like I do!)

Accuracy and reliability are at the core of my work. I’m a certified, insured professional bookkeeper.  In the unlikely event that something does go wrong, my insurance coverage protects you.  This means you can stay focused on your business growth with peace of mind.

No, I’m a professional bookkeeper. My role is to keep your financial records accurate, organized, and up to date so you always know where your business stands.  If you don’t have an accountant already, I have some great referrals from my local area.

As such, I don’t prepare or file taxes, but I make tax time so much easier. By keeping your books clean and accurate all year long, your accountant has everything they need to file your returns smoothly—and without stress.

I don’t process payroll directly. If payroll is needed, it will be set up through a third-party service such as Gusto. This ensures proper checks and balances—I don’t take on any role that involves direct access to spend company money. For added protection, the initial payroll setup is overseen by an accountant.
